The figure wears a white and green silk cloth draped over its body, with rudraksha beads and a long strand of sparkling crystal or bead necklaces, and a gold pendant at the chest. Surrounding the frame are garlands of rudraksha beads, white and yellow flowers, and red blossoms, with a kalasha-like crown element at the top. No physical people are visible; the figure is a murti, not a person.2013-10-15A photograph of a temple ritual before a golden shrine arch framing two deity murti decorated with garlands and gold ornaments, one seated figure wearing a crown and red tilak-marked forehead, the other with a gold crown and white necklace. Two standing priests stand at the sides: on the left, a priest in a green and gold turban with a white shawl and gold necklace performs an offering while a bare-chested priest in purple waistcloth gestures toward the deities; on the right, a priest in a mustard-yellow turban and white dhoti with flower garlands stands with hands folded. Brass oil lamps stand at the left and a gold-framed altar with flowers sits in front. Three people are visible.2015-10-18October 18 20152015-10-18A photograph of a temple ritual centred on a golden-faced deity murti seated on a green-draped throne, decorated with red and white flower garlands and yellow marigold strands. The central murti wears a tall golden crown with red trim and a jewelled necklace. Two flanking figures with similar golden faces and tall ornate headdresses sit on either side. Two priests in white dhotis with gold-bordered cloth and bare upper bodies stand in front, one lifting and arranging a red-and-white draped cloth over the deity, the other handling the garlanded ornaments. Ornate gilt metal panels and oil lamps frame the altar.2015-10-18April 25 20132013-04-25March 14 20132013-03-14April 17 20132013-04-17 +3 copies
