A photograph of a ghat-style stone stairway with a metal handrail, lined by rows of black Shiva lingams along a low wall. A central man with long dark hair, a red-orange sleeveless garment and a tilak on his forehead walks up the steps, one hand resting on the rail, smiling. Beside him a man in a white dhoti and shawl with long hair and a mala walks with him. Behind them to the left, a barefoot man in white and a bright orange garment stands near the railing, and in front a younger man in a white head wrap and bare chest with beads and orange cloth is seen. A figure in orange stands in the background above the wall. Golden-toned sandstone walls frame the scene. Central figure is a probable Swamiji: long swept-back hair, orange-red clothing and mala beads.2018-01-01A photograph of a procession on stone steps beside a tall beige wall and a metal stair railing. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a bare chest wears a rust-orange dhoti and a saffron-orange shawl, and holds a rudraksha mala. Beside him, a man in white ritual cloth with a white shawl wears a long rudraksha mala and an ornate necklace. Behind them, a figure in an orange robe stands on a higher level near a lamp post. At the lower left, a shirtless attendant in orange wears a rudraksha mala and a headband, and another attendant in a dark turban is partly visible at the bottom left edge. Watermarked copyright text overlays the right side of the frame.2018-01-01January 01 20182018-01-01Outdoor photo of a man in long swept-back black hair and an orange-red sleeveless top with a red-orange dhoti-style wrap, climbing a silver-railed metal staircase toward a raised platform with a gold-topped flagpole and a carved stone slab. Behind him, another man in white attire follows, and two figures stand at the lower left wearing rudraksha malas and orange cloth, one with a headband and one with painted arms. A third person in orange robes stands in the background near a wall and fence. The ochre wall and red brick steps form the setting.2018-01-01May 14 20142014-05-14A photograph of a sannyasi in saffron-orange robes climbing a metal staircase toward a raised platform with a stone-carved seat and a golden staff overhead. The central figure has long, swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala, and a gold necklace, and wears an orange dhoti with a shawl across his shoulder; a man in white follows and steadies him by the rail. Two younger men in the foreground, one wearing a white head-wrap and rudraksha malas, look on from the stone steps, and another orange-clad figure stands with folded hands near a wall. Strong cues make the central figure a person, shown ascending to the platform for ritual proceedings. A stone enclosure, brass-topped pillar and wall form the setting.2018-01-01Night photo of a group descending stone steps beside a metal railing toward water, with black stone lingams visible on a ledge above. In the foreground a man in an orange-red dhoti and shawl, with a gold-coloured garland and a tilak, walks down the steps. Behind him, a bearded elderly man in orange robes, a man with a shaved head in orange with a rudraksha mala, and a white-clad attendant with a mala follow. The scene suggests a temple-tank or river-ghat procession.2013-11-05Outdoor photo of a stepped white metal staircase with railings set against a tan wall and red tiered seating. A man in a plain white shirt and white trousers stands barefoot on the landing at left. Two sannyasi-style men descend: one in a rust-red robe with long dark hair and beard, bare-chested with a wrap over one shoulder, and one in orange robes with long dark hair, carrying a red bag. A man in a light blue shirt and white trousers walks down below, and a woman in a patterned top sits at the bottom right with a water bottle. The person in orange with long swept-back hair, a sannyasi robe and a red bag shows some appearance cues, but identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2017-03-26March 26 20172017-03-26Outdoor photo of a group descending a wide stone staircase with red-painted step edges, in early evening light. A man in the center wears a deep maroon-red dhoti and wrap, with long dark hair, a rudraksha mala and a bare chest, and walks barefoot down the steps. To his left a man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala holds a rolled white paper scroll. On the right a bare-chested man in a white dhoti with gold borders walks barefoot, and a woman in a cream sari with gold border follows behind him. Other saffron-clad figures and attendants stand on the upper steps, a metal lamp post and a small booth with a loudspeaker stand behind them, and a man in a grey shirt stands at the right edge.2017-11-11November 11 20172017-11-11July 24 20172017-07-24
