Night photograph of an outdoor temple-procession stage at a Murugan temple event in Tamil Nadu, with a red carpet and scattered flower petals. A man in a saffron/orange robe and matching orange turban stands barefoot with palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing a rudraksha mala and smiling, with long hair visible. Beside him a bald priest in white dhoti with a red-and-gold border and a bare chest wears a garland and holds a ceremonial item. A young attendant in an orange shawl stands nearby. Behind the stage a large crowd of onlookers, many in police or uniform clothing, watches, and a purple cloth drapes an ornate floral-decorated palanquin or deity vehicle on the right.

A photograph of an outdoor gathering under a white tent with a red carpet. In the centre, a smiling man in an orange-saffron dhoti and matching orange turban wears a long white and red flower garland and a rudraksha mala, his hands pressed together and one arm extended. Around him, many men in white dhotis and white shirts or orange shawls stand with palms joined, and a woman in white with an orange shawl and a woman with long hair in orange stand nearby. Purple and white banners hang along the tent edge, and a large crowd watches from behind. Swamiji (probable) cues: the central figure wears an orange turban, saffron robes, a long floral garland and a rudraksha mala, and is at the centre of the welcoming devotees.

A photograph of a procession inside a decorated tent at night, with a long red carpet running down the centre. A man with long dark hair and a full beard walks forward in a rust-brown saffron-toned robe with a pale pink-and-white flower garland around his neck, and he appears to be the central figure being honoured, with a candidate description consistent with a person based on his long swept-back hair, garland and robe. Two bare-chested men in orange dhotis walk beside and behind him, one holding a ceremonial object. Above him is a large round canopy with a striped multicoloured fringe, and the tent ceiling is hung with colourful tassel decorations and small paper lanterns. Along both sides, a dense line of devotees stands with palms pressed together in namaskar, including men in white dhotis and shawls, women in cream and yellow saris, and people in dark kurtas and blue jackets. Banana-leaf and yellow flower garlands frame the background, with a shrine-like structure at the far end.

Night-time outdoor photograph of a large crowd at a temple courtyard. Many people in white traditional clothes, mostly men and women with hands joined in namaskar, stand in rows facing a lit stage area. Two figures in saffron/orange robes stand near the front of the crowd on the sandy ground, with yellow flower petals scattered nearby. A tall ceremonial pole rises at left beside palm trees, and a multicoloured canopy umbrella shelters a decorated area at right, with a few devotees in yellow-bordered white garments. The scene suggests a devotional gathering in a temple compound.

Photograph of an outdoor tented event with green carpet and a red runner. Center, a man with long dark hair wears a saffron-orange robe and a beaded mala, raising his hand in a gesture while smiling. Beside him, another person in orange robes stands. Around them, men in white dhoti and white shirts stand in a semicircle, and women in white and gold saris hold brass pooja plates with flowers and a garland of flowers. Draped white fabric with blue scalloped trim decorates the tent ceiling.

Night outdoor ground ceremony on bare red earth. A central figure in an orange-saffron wrap, with orange turban and long flower garland with multicolored strands, stands with hands folded in front of a small ground offering of flowers, leaves and coconut pieces. Beside him a figure in white dhoti and shirt with a saffron shawl holds his hands together in prayer. Around them crowd devotees in white dhotis and shirts, many wearing rosette-badged neck ribbons and rudraksha malas; a young boy in white holds a silver tray of marigolds and leaves, and a man on the right holds a small offering. Trees and a dark night sky frame the scene.

Outdoor photograph at dusk of a ritual on bare earth. A central figure in an orange-saffron robe and matching orange turban, wearing a multicolour flower garland and a red flower garland, stands with a hand raised near the face while holding a white flower. Around the figure, men in white dhotis and white shirts stand with palms pressed together in namaskar, some carrying brass trays of offerings. Scattered marigold petals, white flower petals and small oil lamps lie on the ground in front of a short upright pole. A striped tent canopy and a cloudy evening sky are behind the crowd, and a few onlookers in the background are standing or seated.
