A large hall with a white tiled floor where many men sit cross-legged in rows performing a ritual. Most wear white dhotis with gold borders and are bare-chested, with sandalwood or white paste marks on their bodies and rudraksha or beaded necklaces; some hold brass or copper vessels and small ritual items. Women in white saris sit in rows on the right, while monks and devotees in saffron and orange robes stand and sit among them. Brass oil lamps with lit wicks stand along the rows and small plates of flowers, fruit and puja items are set on the floor. A large screen at the top left shows a seated figure, and a framed portrait hangs on the right wall beside a doorway.
