In the centre, a figure in a saffron-orange robe with a long rudraksha mala hanging on the chest raises clasped hands in greeting, silhouetted against a bright sun glare. To the right, a person in orange clothing with a gold border and a white flower garland on the hair walks in front of another figure. On the left, a bare-shouldered person in a white cloth stands at the edge of the frame. The composition is soft and blurred with light flare.Outdoor photo at dusk of a ritual exchange on a concrete path. Other people stand at the edges, a silver kalasha with yellow flower garlands is at left, and sunlight glows through the trees.2003-08-01June 22 20082008-06-22Photograph of three men in an open-sided pavilion with a corrugated metal roof and bright, hazy light. In the centre, a long-haired man in orange robes and layered beaded necklaces stands with palms pressed together in anjali. On the left, a shaved-headed man with his back to the camera wears a red-brown shawl and a red garland and bows toward him. On the right, a shaved-headed man in orange clothes also stands with palms joined. A long-haired man in orange saffron robes with a rudraksha mala and a vibhuti-marked forehead stands centre, hands folded at his chest, smiling. To his left a man in white dhoti and kurta holds a canopy pole, and a uniformed police officer stands behind. A long-haired man in orange saffron cloth, with a gold-bead necklace and white and red forehead markings, stands center holding a red-brown object and a silver bowl while others assist. Around him, devotees in orange and white robes press palms together. A tray of rudraksha beads, a bowl of flowers and fruit, and a gold-trimmed staff are visible, along with an orange and gold parasol at upper left. The swami-style figure is an appearance-based probable candidate for a person, identified only by his long hair, saffron clothing and gold ornaments.2008-12-23Outdoor photograph on a sandy path beside palm trees and a white building. A long-haired figure in saffron orange robes stands centrally, wearing a white and red flower garland and gold-beaded necklaces; a devotee in white bows and touches the figure's feet... wait, the scene shows a man in white bowing with his hand resting on the robed figure's stomach area, with a second bowing devotee in white beside him. To the left, a younger person in orange robes with a purple painted marking on the cheek holds a wooden staff. Behind them, two women in white with orange shawls stand near a palm frond and yellow flowers. Swamiji (probable): the central figure has long swept-back hair, saffron robes and ornate gold necklaces with a rudraksha-style mala, a compatible presentation, but the appearance is only partially distinctive, so the figure is described by role as a robed sannyasi receiving devotees.2008-12-23December 30th 20072007-12-30
