February 07 20172017-02-07Photograph of a crowded temple-side scene where a bearded man in an ochre-saffron robe and a long multicoloured flower garland stands at centre, smiling, with a long dark swept-back hair style and rudraksha-style beads at his neck. Around him devotees press in: a man in a white dhoti with gold border and a gold-trimmed shawl holds a small metal plate, and women in saris and gold necklaces stand nearby, with several men bearing white-and-red tilak marks on their foreheads. Swamiji (probable) appearance cues include the saffron robe, garland and long hair, placed in a crowd of devotees. Pale walls and a metal grille behind suggest a temple corridor.2017-02-07 +3 copiesJanuary 29 20172017-01-29February 07 20172017-02-07A temple interior with pink pillars where a seated figure in rust-red robes and a gold-and-gold-bead necklace, with white jasmine garlands and a tilak on the forehead, sits on a striped cloth as devotees gather. The seated person has a long dark hair and wears gold bangles and armlets. Standing behind on the left, a priest in white dhoti and a wooden staff topped with a silver finial stands near a white-clothed person. A woman in a red-and-gold sari holds a white flower. A devotee in a white shirt with a cream shawl stands centre, while men in saffron and yellow kurtas with yellow tilak marks surround the seated figure. A man in white kneels holding a brass plate with a small bowl of liquid and a second plate with packets, offering it near the seated figure. A cameraman with a camera on his shoulder films from the back right. Many onlookers fill the background.2016-06-03November 11 20162016-11-11A photo of a crowded indoor reception in a narrow corridor with pink walls and a dark wooden door. In the foreground, a figure with long swept-back hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe with a cream garland of white flowers and a rudraksha mala, sits facing a seated couple. A woman in a green-trimmed white sari with a red floral garland and a man in a white shirt with a red garland kneel before him; the man holds a red fruit and offers it. Behind them, devotees in white shirts and saffron robes stand with palms pressed together in namaskar, and several boys and a young girl are visible. Visible cues include the long hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala, but the scene is crowded and partly cut off, so identity remains uncertain.2014-07-02June 24 20142014-06-24 +2 copiesJune 05 20122012-06-05May 12 20122012-05-12July 02 20142014-07-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated man with long dark hair, wearing a rust-red robe with a gold border, bending forward to place a marigold and multicolour flower garland around the neck of a devotee kneeling before him on the floor. The devotee wears a white dhoti and shirt. Behind them, a standing man in a white dhoti with a gold border and rudraksha mala looks on, and a sannyasi in saffron-orange attire holds a camera. Several men in white and yellow shirts and a woman with flowers in her hair crouch or stand around, with a large orange cushion in the foreground. The setting is a plain room with pale yellow walls and windows. Visible text in the corner reads a copyright notice. This appears to be a house visit during a Tamil Nadu tour, with the seated figure possibly a person, identifiable by long swept-back hair and rust-red robes.2014-06-24
