Photograph of a seated group of shaved-headed devotees in orange and saffron dhotis and wraps during a ritual gathering in a hall. Most are bare-chested with white horizontal tripundra-style markings on their bodies, wearing rudraksha malas and beaded necklaces. The central man sits with eyes closed and hands folded, wearing a saffron shawl, rudraksha mala and a pendant. Brass and copper vessels and small offering items sit on a mat in front. Several other people sit in the background, some in white. No individual here is identified as a person based on appearance cues alone.

A row of seated devotees in a temple hall performs a ritual with brass oil lamps and small brass vessels set on red and pink mats in front of them. Several men wear saffron-orange dhotis, bare upper bodies, rudraksha malas and white tripundra markings on their foreheads and arms. The foremost man in orange has his hands near the lamps, eyes lowered. Others sit with palms joined in prayer. Burning incense sticks rise among the lamps, and a blurred background of more seated participants and a framed image completes the scene.

Four or five sannyasi-style monks in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas and white forehead markings sit cross-legged in front, hands raised in mudra and eyes closed. Behind them, rows of people in white clothing sit on red mats, with a few in yellow and orange shirts. Metal pillars and a red-draped stage line the background.

Three men in front wear saffron-orange cloth and rudraksha malas, with white ash horizontal markings on their foreheads and arms. They sit cross-legged on a red mat, one with hands folded, behind a low table holding brass lamps, a kalasha-style brass vessel, flower petals, a conch shell and offering bowls. Behind them, seated devotees in white clothing and a man in a red shawl watch the ritual, with a woman in a white shirt at right.

A large hall filled with devotees dressed in saffron and orange robes, seated on mats and performing a ritual with small oil lamps and offering plates. In the foreground, a bald man with a rudraksha mala and a red-and-saffron cloth draped over his shoulders holds a lit lamp, while a younger man in orange with a red tilak and rudraksha beads sits beside him, also holding a flame. A boy at left with long dark hair and a pendant holds a small lamp, and smoke or incense drifts through the warm, dim room. Many other participants sit behind them, some with shaved heads and white beards. The scene looks like a group puja with lamps and aarti.
