A ritual scene in an indoor hall with a decorated golden-fringed parasol overhead. A woman in a white and gold kasavu-style saree stands bent forward offering food or water from a small vessel to a standing woman in a rust-red sari at a silver tray laid with a green leaf, banana-leaf food, and a small cup. A seated woman in a yellow blouse and purple-and-gold sari sits on a striped mat, and a man with long hair and a red garment sits behind them near a golden stand, with a golden lion figure in the background. Several women in rust-red saris stand on the right. A screen behind shows a portrait, and the floor is covered by colourful striped rugs.
