A long-haired man in a saffron-orange sleeveless robe and orange sandals stands at the edge of an excavated trench, holding a wooden staff in one hand and gesturing outward with the other. Below him, workers dig in the trench: one in a white shirt and striped head cloth bends down, another in a white vest and grey shorts stands in the pit, and a man in a grey shirt stands at the left edge. A man in a striped shirt and checked green lungi stands on the right near a raised earthen platform. A large dressed granite block lies on the ground in the foreground, with trees and shrubs behind the excavation.2006-10-25October 24 20062006-10-24A photograph of a man standing on a dirt path outdoors, wearing an orange saffron wrap draped over his shoulder and body with a matching orange lower garment, and orange sandals. He has long, swept-back dark hair, a red mark on his forehead, and holds a long dark wooden staff in his left hand. Palm trees, shrubs and a gravel pile are visible behind him, with two men in white clothes walking further back. The appearance is consistent with the a person cues of long hair and saffron clothing, though the identification is uncertain.2006-10-10A photograph of a standing man with long, swept-back dark hair wearing a sleeveless saffron-orange wrap garment and matching orange cloth, holding a long wooden staff and wearing orange slippers, with a red tilak on his forehead. He stands at the edge of an excavated dirt pit at an outdoor construction site. Behind him, workers in checked lungis and a striped shirt stand nearby, and another worker in a white shirt and a cloth head wrap kneels inside the pit. Stacked earth, a granite block and shrubs and trees fill the background.2006-10-25A standing man in profile wears a flowing saffron-orange wrap draped over one shoulder and around the body, with long, swept-back dark wavy hair. He holds a long dark wooden staff in his right hand and stands barefoot on a dusty, sunlit open ground with patchy grass, a stack of bricks, and a red building at the top left. The appearance is consistent with a Swamiji (probable) figure in saffron sannyasi dress with long hair and a staff, so he is marked as in_person. Printed archive text runs vertically along the right edge.2006-10-19A photograph of a man standing on a dirt ground outdoors, leaning on a long dark wooden walking staff held in his right hand. The figure has long dark hair and is shown in full length, with a leafy background and sunlight casting a shadow on the ground. No printed caption identifies this person, and the appearance cues are not sufficient to name anyone, so the role is given as a sannyasi walking outdoors.2006-10-19A man in an orange saffron robe with a red undershirt walks across a dry, reddish-brown dirt field in a clearing. His hair is long and tied back. A person holding an orange umbrella stands at the top left. Behind him are a metal water tank, a wire fence with wooden posts, and green trees.
