Flame-topped torches are carried among a crowd of onlookers and drummers. Men in white dhotis and vests, a figure in a striped headcloth and dark shirt in the foreground, and drummers beating large drums stand near tall red and orange umbrellas with sequined edges. Swirling blue and green light trails fill the right side. No identifiable a person figure is clearly visible.

Night photograph of a fire-walking or fire-crossing ritual on a sandy ground. A large bright flame rises from a metal frame laid with bamboo-like poles at the centre. In the foreground a bare-chested man in a dark orange-red cloth wrap leaps through the air, gripping a long pole raised overhead above the fire. Behind the fire, figures in white dhotis and red garments stand holding long staffs, with illuminated colourful ceremonial structures and lamps glowing in the dark background. Smoke drifts across the scene.

Night photograph of a fire performance on a reddish dirt ground. A performer in red and dark costume with a painted or masked face stands before a large curved arc of bamboo-like frame ringed with burning torches, flames and smoke rising behind. Several onlookers in white kurta-style clothing watch from the edges, and one person crouches beside a drum on the right. The scene reads as a folk-style fire dance or torch display. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible, so the performer and spectators are described by role only.
