April 17 20122012-04-17A dark stone statue of a four-armed deity seated on a dark pedestal, draped in a purple cloth and wearing a white and silver garland and ornaments with a purple headband. Behind it stands an arched silver frame with a red curtain. The base is a red-dusted mound with a small plaque beneath. Trees and paved ground surround the shrine in an outdoor garden setting. The plaque reads Dakshinamurthi, and the statue is a depiction rather than a living person.2012-05-16April 17 20122012-04-17 +1 copiesApril 08 20122012-04-08November 05 20122012-11-05January 31 20132013-01-31April 07 20122012-04-07 +2 copiesApril 08 20122012-04-08 +1 copiesPhoto 11725144A black stone murti of a multi-armed deity sits under a carved stone arch set among trees. The figure wears an orange cloth draped over its body and a forehead band of orange, with a white flower garland and a blue-and-white beaded necklace. Two raised hands hold ritual objects, and a red-painted pedestal with a small brass lamp in front supports the statue. The arch's carved panels and tangled branches frame the scene, with a bare ground and palm trees behind. This is a statue, not a living person, and no people are visible.2007-05-04January 31 20132013-01-31December 09 20172017-12-09
