The murti stands in a gold-framed alcove decorated with red, orange, yellow and purple flower garlands, wearing a green and pink sari, a crown and a flower garland. Smoke rises near the murti. Below, a pink-flower-decorated kalasha or offering pot sits with lit oil lamps, marigold garlands, and trays of bananas, oranges and other fruit on the floor. Two large garlanded figures stand on the right and left edges of the scene.2018-04-27 +1 copiesApril 14 20132013-04-14May 25 20132013-05-25 +1 copiesMay 30 20182018-05-30A priest in a rust-orange turban and orange dhoti, bare-shouldered with a sash, stands at the back left of a golden arched shrine and holds a lamp toward a richly adorned deity murti. The murti wears a silver crown and halo, yellow and red flower garlands, gold necklaces and an orange-gold cloth, seated before a gold-embossed throne with a gold drape and a red and green fringed canopy above. Brass oil lamps and a silver bowl sit on a yellow platform with floral designs, and a small fire burns in front. Smoke fills the dim scene, and a second priest is not visible. Two people appear, a priest and the figure tended within the shrine, so the people count is 1 visible physical person.2015-11-18April 30 20152015-04-30April 27 20182018-04-27A young man with long dark hair, bare-shouldered in a saffron-orange cloth, adorns a deity murti with gold necklaces, while a tall figure in a white-beaded crown and gold garland stands at the centre of a gilded arch. Yellow, red and orange marigold and rose garlands drape the murti and the arch, and a tray of red flowers and offerings is held at the left. The setting suggests a temple ritual decoration (alankaram) with a decorated smaller murti in blue and green silk and jewelled ornaments.2015-01-09A night-time temple ritual before a golden arched shrine framing a deity murti adorned with yellow and red garlands, a crown and ornate silver jewellery. A priest in a rust-orange dhoti and matching turban stands with his back to the camera, raising a lit lamp toward the murti's face. Before the murti sits a golden platform holding a small fire and offerings, with smoke rising. Silver oil lamps flank the platform, and a green and red canopy hangs above. Blue cloth drapes the base of the murti. The priest is not identifiable as a specific person from this view.2015-11-18A temple sanctum scene during worship at a Shiva lingam decorated with marigold and rose garlands. A man with long dreadlocks, a rust-red turban, a rose garland over his shoulder and gold bangles stands at center, placing his hand on the golden lingam. Two younger men in orange-saffron cloth stand behind him, one with long hair. Behind the lingam is a gilded deity murti in a red-and-gold garment with a crown, and floral garlands in yellow, red and white fill the frame. Brass and silver kalasha-style vessels sit in the foreground. The pillared stone ceiling and warm lamplight complete the setting.2016-12-14
