Night-time outdoor gathering at a large open ground ringed by tall white lamp posts and a string of red-and-white festoon lights along a fence line. A dense crowd of many people, mostly men in white shirts and dhotis, some in colourful shirts, with women in saris and a girl with flowers in her hair, stands and moves among rows of folding chairs. Dark trees form the backdrop. A banner is visible at the right edge beyond the crowd. No individual can be clearly singled out as a person, so none is identified.
