A photograph of an outdoor construction site on flat dirt ground. A large dark polished black stone linga stands on a low platform at centre, with water jets spraying up around it. Four people are visible: a man in white clothes and a white shirt standing at left near sacks, a man in white robes at centre right beside the linga, and two people in darker wraps at right, one in a grey shawl and one in a green garment. Behind them are rubble piles, a wire fence, palm trees, leafy trees and utility poles under a pale hazy sky.

A garland of yellow and purple flowers hangs on the lingam. Many men in white dhotis and white shirts stand waist-deep in the water, some bending forward, while others stand along a red and white striped tiled edge. On the left, a raised golden platform with a small golden umbrella holds garlanded items and balloons, and people sit on it in the water. Strings of orange and red festival flags run across the background, with palm trees and clear sky behind. This appears to be a ritual abhishekam at a lingam in a water tank.2009-01-02A large black stone lingam with a rounded top and a tiered black base stands on a square black platform in shallow green water inside a pool edged with red and white striped walls.
