A framed painted portrait of an elderly bald man reclining shirtless on a bed with a purple cover and white sheet, resting on a wooden bed frame in a plain white-walled room. The portrait shows a bedside table with a clock and a lamp. Beside it, a blue and white patterned wall border runs along the top, a green-shuttered window stands open to the left, and a brass hanging lamp hangs on a chain at right. The portrait is a depiction on a painting and not a physical person present in the room.
