A large seated crowd of devotees, mostly women, fills the frame during a devotional gathering. Many have palms pressed together in anjali mudra or raised hands, eyes closed in prayer. Several wear white and cream saris and kurtas, while others wear orange, teal and green-patterned garments. Many have vibhuti or kumkum marks on their foreheads. Behind them a golden ornate throne or altar with gilded decoration is visible, and a woman seated near it wears a white sari with gold jewellery. The atmosphere suggests a satsang or pada-puja gathering.
