A large outdoor photo of a Shivaratri abhishekam at a stepped tank. Rows of devotees sit on terraced steps facing the water, many in saffron-orange and others in white, with white headwear on some women. In front of them are many black stone Shiva lingams set on silver-rimmed plates and bowls, with brass pots and offerings. Behind a railing, a tall decorated structure with colourful patterned panels stands on a platform in the water, and tiered seating with more people fills the background under warm morning light. A red brick building and trees frame the scene.

A central raised stone Shivalinga and a dais with a seated figure in gold and orange stand across a large empty pool at right, with red flags along the edges and a pink multi-storey building behind. Several figures in orange robes stand on the steps, and an attendant in white is at the right edge. Ritual abhishekam chanting appears to be underway.
