Dominating the frame is an ornate golden ratha or palanquin-style vehicle draped in yellow and purple garlands, with hanging brass bells and tassels in green, red and blue. A large saffron-yellow parasol with a lotus motif shades a golden elephant-headed carved finial at the front. A shirtless attendant in white cloth stands on the left of the vehicle, partly visible. Along the right, a bald man in white clothing and several devotees stand behind a wire fence, watching the procession.2010-01-01December 20 20102010-12-20December 22 20102010-12-22April 18 20162016-04-18December 15 20112011-12-15December 31 20092009-12-31April 22 20162016-04-22A smiling man with long dark hair stands on an elevated maroon velvet-covered platform during a procession, wearing an ornate gold crown with filigree and a fan-shaped golden ornament, a red tilak on his forehead, a white-marked brow, a garland of yellow and red flowers, and an orange garment. Behind him is a tall golden ratha-style canopy hung with orange, red, green and magenta tassels, golden bells, and strands of marigolds and white blossoms. Blue sky and leafy greenery frame the scene. Swamiji (probable) is the person in the crown and orange clothing, seated as the honoured figure at the head of the procession.2009-12-27
