Close view of a large, dark, wide brass or bronze vessel on a low stone-topped surface, its interior smeared with yellow turmeric powder and dark reddish-brown paste, with a small amount of white powder visible. Two metal rods or ladles rest inside the bowl. Behind it stands a polished silver elephant figure dusted with yellow powder, a silver vessel with a spout sits at right, and brass lamp stands are visible at upper right, with a red-and-white polka-dot cloth behind the elephant. The scene suggests a ritual preparation area with turmeric offerings, though no people are visible.
