A large group of women seated on the floor of a hall performs a ritual with lit oil lamps. Most wear orange, red and maroon saris with white or gold borders, and many have white vibhuti and kumkum marks on their foreheads. Several hold small flames or lamps in brass trays set with flowers, pooja plates and small brass vessels. Behind them, rows of seated devotees in white and orange fill the room, and a draped stage with flower arrangements is visible at the back. No a person candidate is clearly visible; the scene shows devotees performing lamp worship during satsang.
