KAILASA SAN FERNANDO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO on 12/29/20202020-12-29Photo of a home shrine decorated for a paduka puja. A pair of black rubber sandals, the padukas, sits at the centre, garlanded with white and yellow flowers, sprigs of basil and red-and-gold rudraksha malas. Behind them stands a small painted figure of a smiling bearded man in saffron-orange robes, gold necklaces and an orange turban, raising one hand in blessing, with a Sri Chakra yantra plaque and a framed picture of a figure seated before a temple. Silver-patterned cloth covers the table; a bowl of yellow offering sits nearby, with a brass trident and small flower-decked items to the right.2021-01-05 +1 copiesA shrine table photographed from above holds a pair of black rubber sandals (padukas) decorated with white jasmine flowers, yellow and blue blossoms, green leaves, rudraksha malas and gold beads, with red ribbons tied to them, set before offering bowls of cooked rice and vegetables. Behind them stands a painted figure in a red-orange turban and ornate gold necklaces, one hand raised in blessing, flanked by a dhol-style drum. A framed image on the right shows a figure in orange robes before a temple-like structure, and a small Sri Chakra plaque and a gold-printed yantra plate sit nearby along with brass lamps and a trident. Probable Swamiji cues: the figure in the turban and gold necklaces is a depiction, not a physical person.
