In the foreground, a figure seated on a red and silver throne wears a rust-orange wrap, a deep red turban with gold ornament, and multiple garlands of white and pink flowers; a priest in a red turban with orange cloth touches the seated figure's head. A bare-chested attendant in white dhoti with a gold-bordered waist cloth stands at left, holding a bright multicoloured leaf-and-cloth decoration, while another bare-chested priest in white dhoti bends forward near a brass vessel. Behind them, a large golden deity murti with a crown and white ornaments stands before a red backdrop with flower garlands. A brass bell or vessel and a white air cooler sit at right. Several audience members are seen in silhouette at the bottom edge. The seated figure has long dark hair and is wearing rudraksha-style adornments, but appearance cues are not sufficient to confirm identity.2017-03-11Ceremonial scene in a temple-style hall with red curtains and a large painted deity mural behind. A seated figure on an ornate gold throne with a carved cobra-hood backrest wears an orange-red turban and orange-red robes, with a fresh white and red flower garland around the neck and green leaves draped across the shoulders; a trident stands beside the throne. Before him, a kneeling devotee in orange-red robes lowers his head toward the throne, while a man in a white dhoti with gold borders stands at left with hands folded in namaste and a bearded man in white with a rudraksha mala kneels nearby. At right, a woman in an orange sari holds a red apple, and a man at left in a white shirt bows with palms joined. Fruit and flower offerings lie on the red carpet.
