A bearded man with hair tied in a topknot, bare-chested and wearing a yellow shawl over a white-and-green dhoti, holds a large brass multi-tiered lamp with tall flames and smoke, while beams of light cut through the dark. Beside him a younger man in a white dhoti and sacred thread stands watching. Bangles and bracelets are visible on the lamp-bearer's wrists, and small flames burn at the bottom edge.2016-12-15December 15 20162016-12-15 +1 copiesDecember 07 20162016-12-07December 15 20162016-12-15August 04 20172017-08-04A man with a short dark beard, a red and yellow tilak on his forehead and a long braided bun, performs a lamp ritual while seated. He holds a brass oil lamp with a lit flame in both hands and raises it toward the smoke drifting in front of him. He wears a yellow shawl over a white dhoti, a shell-and-bead rudraksha-style mala, a wristwatch and a gold ring. Behind him, several people in white dhotis and white shirts wear gold-colored beaded garlands, and one holds a bell.
