A photograph of a group walking through a street gate in India. In front, a smiling man with long swept-back dark hair wears a saffron-orange robe and a shawl, holds a ceremonial staff raised above his head with both hands, and wears a gold-toned necklace with a pendant and a red tilak on his forehead. Behind him, people in white clothes and lanyards walk along, including a woman with long braids in white, a bearded man in white with an orange shawl, and a man in a white cap and khaki trousers. A signboard above the gate reads Shivratan Lodge with Hindi text and a Varanasi Yatra label, with a white wall and stalls behind.

In the foreground a man in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back hair, a red bindi, a gold necklace and a rudraksha mala walks at the front, with a red tasselled umbrella held above him by a man in orange. Behind him a woman in an orange top and dark trousers wears a rudraksha mala and carries a silver staff topped with a finial. Other devotees in orange shawls and white or grey clothes follow, and a man at the right edge wears an orange shirt and carries a backpack. A white gateway with a loudspeaker on top and a yellow signboard stands in the background, with buildings and a blue railing beside the water. The figure in front has distinctive long hair, saffron robes, gold and rudraksha adornments, so he is a probable Swamiji candidate walking in procession.2006-06-04A group of devotees walks along a stone-paved street past a pink-washed building with a red swastika-like Hindu symbol painted on it and Devanagari lettering on the wall. In the centre, a young man in a saffron-orange turban, orange shawl and orange sannyasi robes carries a grey backpack and walks beside others in orange and white. A bearded older man in an orange sweater and orange shawl stands to the right, and a man in white kurta and dhoti with an orange shawl walks at the far left. Two women in orange shawls follow behind. Other members of the group are partly visible, carrying bags and an umbrella.2008-07-08A photograph of a street-side stairway and corridor outside a building. A central figure in a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala and a red tilak on the forehead, with long, swept-back dark hair, walks up the steps. Next to him, a younger man in a white dhoti and white shirt follows, and an older man in white clothes stands at right. Another man in a beige shirt with a bag stands at the far right edge. Laundry hangs from a balcony above and a street with parked cars and pedestrians is visible behind. Swamiji (probable) is described from the orange robe, long hair and rudraksha mala cues; the figure in orange is the main subject.2007-01-12
