Night photograph of a flower-decorated boat-shaped float carried across a lit water tank, with strings of white and coloured lights. The float has a tiered canopy of marigold and garland tiers, and a seated figure in red and white garments under the canopy. Two bare-chested men in orange-red dhotis wade in the water pushing or guiding the float. Spectators sit on terraced steps at left and at right, and a few people in orange cloth sit at the right edge of the tank. Bright floodlights and reflections on the water surround the scene.
