Outdoor photograph of a large paved courtyard where many people perform Shivasthamba Yoga (mallakhamba pole yoga) on vertical wooden poles set on padded mats. Several performers in saffron-orange clothing hold and climb poles near the centre, while others in white dhotis and bare-chested men in shorts, a woman in a red sari and a figure in blue with a yellow turban are spread across the stone floor. A camera crane arm extends over the scene at left, and a bamboo clump and steps sit at the edge. No candidate for a person is clearly identifiable by appearance, so the figures are described by role only.
