A photograph of a samaya deeksha initiation at an indoor ritual setting. A seated figure with a bare-shouldered maroon-and-gold robe and a long plait, a sacred bead necklace at the throat, places a palm on the forehead of a standing man in a white shirt and orange-red scarf printed with script. The man holds his hand up, palm outward, and smiles. A small potted plant, a gold-and-silver ritual staff and gilded ornamental panels stand nearby. Women in white and red scarves stand in the background, and a woman with reddish hair and a lanyard watches at right.
