A street procession in daylight on a wide road. A decorated golden ratha, a truck-based chariot with carved gilded pillars and a canopy, carries a standing figure in saffron-orange robes beside a deity murti in blue and gold. A uniformed police officer in khaki stands in the road beside the vehicle, and a line of devotees in white dhotis and shirts, some with orange sashes, walks along the roadside. Banners hang from the chariot's sides, and a framed portrait sits at the upper right. A pink multi-storey building with a signboard reading Palayar Teacher Training Institute stands behind. A timestamp in the corner reads 12.04.2008 15:57.
