A large heap of red tomatoes is piled on a blue tarpaulin in an open-sided covered area with a concrete floor. Two men sit on the floor at right: the nearer wears a white shirt and a white hairnet, the farther a white shirt and a green head cover, and both appear to be sorting or preparing tomatoes. Metal buckets and a steel pot hold more tomatoes and water in the foreground, with a metal tray and a green-and-white bag of tomatoes at right. Laundered white cloths hang on a line in the background, with grass beyond.
