Beside the stage, a man in white with a red-and-gold shawl stands near a large banner portrait of a smiling figure with a red bindi, and a wall of circular portraits and a Kannada banner reading ಆನಂದೋತ್ಸವ 1006 hang behind. Ornate gold chairs with red cushions line the back of the stage.
