Night-time ritual outdoors at AadiKailaasa in Bengaluru. A large flame burns in a raised fire pit at the back, with smoke rising. In the foreground, a woman in an orange sari and a white top bends over a large metal vessel, handling its contents by hand. Behind her, a person in orange robes sits on a white step beside the fire, hand raised to the face. To the right, a standing person in an orange cloth holds a small book or paper. A person in white clothing walks at the far left edge, and another figure in orange stands near the fire. The white stone steps and dark surroundings frame the homa preparation.

A photograph taken at night of devotees preparing a ritual mixture in a large brass pot placed on the ground. A woman in a white sari with a gold border and an orange shawl kneels at left, stirring the grey-white contents with her hand while looking down into the vessel. Another woman in white and orange stands behind her reaching toward the pot, and a man in an orange shawl and white clothing sits at right near a camera bag. The setting appears to be an outdoor ritual area with dark sand or earth underfoot. The scene suggests a preparatory ritual with a pot of ash-like material, but no a person figure is clearly visible in the frame.
