A night-time outdoor gathering of devotees seated in rows on dark stone steps behind a metal railing. Many participants wear white cloth blindfolds tied over their eyes. In the foreground a man in a white short-sleeved shirt and dark trousers kneels with hands resting on his thighs, and beside him a woman in a patterned sari and bangles also kneels with her hands together. A few people in the background wear white shirts and saris, and a woman at left wears a yellow patterned dress with eyes closed. The scene suggests a collective meditation exercise held at night.
