The board bears the words "Healers' Initiation" with a grid of "con" and "uncon" columns and rows labelled "thought" and "...oths" partly visible, and "Jai Guru dev!" is written across the top. The wall behind is woven bamboo matting with wooden poles, and a red cushion and a round red bolster lie at the left. Whether this is the a person cannot be determined from appearance, so the figure is described by role as the person writing on the board.A saffron-robed man with an orange turban stands at a blackboard on an easel, drawing concentric circles with a pointing hand. The board reads "Jai Guru Dev" and "Welcome to the IV Healer's Convention", with labels Anna, Prana, Manas, Vijnanam and Ananda around the diagram. An ornate gilded chair back and dark green drape frame the stage. Two seated audience members appear in the lower foreground, one with dark curly hair and one with grey hair. A white plastic chair stands at right beside a wooden pillar.
