Close-up photograph of a black Ganesha murti with a long trunk and white vertical stripes, decorated with a red and white garland and a red flower. The murti is draped in a red and gold silk cloth with a gold border. A small brass or gold ritual object sits at the base. No people are visible. The image suggests an abhishekam or alankaram puja for Ganesha.

The figure is draped in a striped wrap of red, orange, cream and brown, with a white garland and a tall ornate headpiece, and sits in front of a dark cushion on a low stone dais. The setting looks like a shrine or murti display rather than a crowded gathering. Visible people are absent; the seated form appears to be a statue or deity murti.2012-05-31
