Close photo of a ritual preparation on a striped cloth mat. A person in a rust-red garment with a gold border and a rudraksha mala sits beside a dark stone block and a bowl of yellow powder, grinding turmeric with a black pestle. Yellow powder spills over the block and around a pale stone mortar, and a mint-green enamel bowl of yellow powder sits in the foreground. Only the lower body, bare feet and a yellow-wrapped forearm are visible, so no face is shown. The scene suggests preparing turmeric powder for a ritual.
