Outdoor procession along a red carpet with two rows of women in plain white saris and white garments facing each other. Many hold brass and metal pots decorated with flowers, mango leaves and woven cane wrappers, and some carry garlands of marigolds. Behind them stand men in white dhotis and shirts, a drummer, and tall saffron-orange flags on poles against a rocky hill and trees. The scene reads as a ceremonial kalasha procession during festival celebrations.2008-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29Two long lines of women and men in white clothes with orange borders stand on either side of a red carpet on dusty ground during a procession. The women hold brass pots and baskets of flowers and offerings, some with garlands and green leaves. Orange and saffron flags line the route, and colourful festoon banners with tassels hang overhead, with decorative canopies at the left edge. A hilly backdrop and trees complete the scene.2008-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29March 11 20172017-03-11December 29 20082008-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29A photograph of a ceremonial welcome at an outdoor festival camp with white tents, red and orange flags, and a long red carpet over teal matting.
