A large indoor hall where many women and girls in orange-saffron dhoti-style sarees sit cross-legged in long rows on white cloth, hands pressed in namaste or folded in prayer. Several have white vibhuti or kumkum marks on their foreheads. Before them lie banana leaves holding food: rice, bananas, sweets and papadum, with steel tumblers and cups. Behind them stand several white-clad attendants by steel counters, and a large screen on the left shows a bright image. Framed photographs hang on the upper wall. Stated count of visible people is roughly 40 to 60, a group of more than twenty.
