A seated figure in a deep red turban and red-brown garments wears a long multicoloured garland of orange, red, white and green flowers over the shoulders, with a red and blue bead necklace and gold bangles. Seated on an ornate gilded throne, they receive small printed cards from a man in a white shirt with yellow stripes and a visible identity badge, who has a white forehead mark. A golden lion-headed object sits nearby, banana leaves and a patterned orange-and-green banner stand behind, and other people are blurred in the dark background.

The seated figure smiles and holds out a small slip of paper to a man bending forward, who wears a white short-sleeved shirt with a white checked pattern and white vibhuti marks on his forehead, and who holds out his hands to receive it. Behind them a golden kalasha-like ornament, a red and gold cushion, banana leaves and a hanging woven cloth are visible, with a few other people in the dim background.
