A photograph inside a stone temple colonnade with carved pillars, showing a group walking in procession. In the centre, a man with shaved head and a white vertical tilak on his forehead wears a saffron-orange shawl over his body and walks barefoot. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts and others in saffron-orange robes walk in step, one carrying a folded white cloth. Dim lighting and worn stone surfaces frame the scene.

In the centre, a bare-chested, white-dhoti-clad elder with a white-streaked beard, glasses and a white tripundra stands beside a robed companion in orange. On the right, a younger man in a hooded orange robe with a red bindi and a gold-bead garland walks with hands joined in greeting. Several orange-robed attendants with garlands follow, and men in white shirts and white dhotis walk among them on the stone floor. Behind them, devotees and passersby fill the corridor.2009-01-14May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesA dim temple corridor at night where a procession of men walks toward the camera. In the centre, a smiling man wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, a red-beaded rudraksha necklace, a crown-like headpiece and a sandalwood-toned bead garland, carrying nothing in hand. Beside him, a bare-chested man in orange garments with a white headband and mala beads walks barefoot. Other devotees in orange robes and men in white dhotis follow, one holding a bundle of yellow cloth and another a round blue-and-white decorated object. Several figures appear partly in shadow, and a uniformed arm is visible at the right edge. The procession suggests a temple ritual walk.2012-05-21
