Night photograph of a Karthikai Deepam lamp display at a temple complex. Rows of small oil lamps glow in orange light across stepped terraces, and a large lamp-formed design shaped like a numeral sits in the centre-right. Strings of lights run along a railing above. Several people in white clothing are visible on the steps tending the lamps, some bending low near the lit rows. The surroundings are dark, and the image is taken from an elevated viewpoint.
