Outdoor photo of a temple tank at a Brahmotsavam festival. A large black Shiva lingam with a serpent-shaped rim stands on a raised platform in the center of a green-water pool lined with red and white striped steps. A decorated wooden raft carries a gold-and-red palanquin with a golden canopy, on which a seated figure in orange and white garments is being honoured by attendants. Men and boys in white dhotis and shirts line the steps, several seated and others standing and holding long bamboo poles that guide the raft. A man in white with a saffron wrap stands at the right edge gesturing. Dry scrubland, trees and distant hills form the background under a clear sky.
