Two figures in saffron-orange robes stand prominently in the foreground on the right; the front figure wears an orange hooded wrap and dark beads and walks with a hand gesture, while the other wears a saffron robe. Large colourful umbrellas with painted panels in red, yellow, green and blue shade the crowd on the left, and tall yellow-orange banners on poles rise on the right. Many devotees wear saffron and orange robes with beaded garlands, while others wear white dhotis and shirts. Several men in white carry or steady the umbrellas and banners, and a man in an orange shawl walks at the centre-right. Strings of orange and red bunting hang across the background beneath a hazy sky.2009-01-01
