A photograph of a large indoor hall packed with seated devotees, viewed from behind, facing a stage at the far end. Most attendees wear white clothing, and several women wear saffron and orange sarees with flowers in their hair. A banner on the back wall shows a portrait labelled with a Tamil-script caption, above a figure seated on a white lotus-style seat in orange robes; the seated figure is depicted on the banner and is too small and distant to assess. Strings of coloured lights line the balcony railing, and ceiling fans hang above, with more people visible on the upper level.
