A seated person on an ornate gold throne with a repoussé golden backrest holds a silver trident in the right hand, the trident's tines and shaft prominent on the right side of the frame. The person wears a rust-brown shawl draped over a leopard-print garment, long rudraksha and skull-bead malas in multiple strands, a rudraksha bracelet and armband, and a brown and gold-bordered dhoti. A red bindi marks the forehead, and a small microphone is clipped near the ear. Appearance-based label: a person is not applicable here, since the cues are a seated ritual performer with long swept-back hair, rudraksha and skull malas, and a trident, which are consistent with a deity-costumed performance rather than a clear identification.2013-05-01April 21 20122012-04-21A man stands on a stage holding a silver trident in his left hand, his right hand on his hip, smiling.
