A photograph of a floral-decorated palanquin-style platform carried through shallow water in a sunken tank with red-tiered stone steps. Several men in white dhotis and shirts stand waist-deep in the water, supporting the platform. Seated on the platform under an orange canopy are figures in saffron and orange robes, with garlands of marigolds and other flowers draped around them. A water jet arches at the left edge, a yellow-and-garland-decorated pillar stands at the left, and an unfinished concrete building with many windows rises behind the empty red seating tiers. Overcast light falls on the scene.
