Flanked by a trident and a brass vessel with fruit offerings, he smiles while a man in a checked shirt bends forward to offer respect at his feet, a child stands beside him, and a woman in a red sari with a rudraksha-bead hair ornament and hoop earrings leans in from the right. Ornate gold and copper panels decorate the background. The seated figure's visible cues are a saffron robe, rudraksha malas and a garland on a throne, consistent with a person in a receiving role.2016-04-27
