In the foreground, a shaved-headed man with white and ash markings on his forehead wears a rudraksha mala headband, a white flower-and-bead garland, and bangles, and rests his hand on the orange railing. Across the cabin, a bearded man in a pink-red garland and red cloth sits beside a man in a white shirt and white dhoti. A man in khaki uniform stands outside behind the railing. A figure in saffron-orange robes and a tall golden crown sits on an ornate covered palanquin, raising one arm in greeting, with red and white flower garlands around the neck. Around the palanquin, bare-chested ascetics with white ash-smeared bodies, rudraksha necklaces and orange cloths tend the vehicle, one holding a silver staff. Orange and gold umbrella canopies are hung with gold bells and tassels in red, yellow, purple and teal, and marigold garlands drape the frame. A man in a dark vest and white shirt stands at the right edge, and bystanders' heads are visible at the bottom. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure wears saffron robes, a crown and garlands, with the appearance cues above.2013-02-10
