Photograph of two metal murti statues of Shiva and Meenakshi seated side by side on a gilded throne-like arch, both draped in thick garlands of red roses, white flowers, orange and yellow marigolds and green leaves. The figure on the left wears an orange turban and crown, white garment and a gold-trimmed magenta cloth, with gold armlets and bejeweled necklaces. The figure on the right wears a crown, blue and gold silk sari-style dress over a magenta skirt, with a jeweled necklace and earrings. Behind them a painted backdrop shows a red and orange figure holding a staff. A brass oil lamp stands at left. These are deity murtis, not living people.
