October 21 20062006-10-21Golden metal statues of a deity couple stand against a red draped backdrop. The figure on the left wears a tall crown decorated with flowers and holds a cobra-headed element; a hand in a yellow sleeve pours liquid or flower petals over the head of the left statue. The right statue wears an ornate crown, layered necklaces and armlets. Tiered wooden architecture frames the scene and a light beam falls from above. No physical people are the focus beyond the pouring hand.2006-10-21September 19 20112011-09-19December 28 20112011-12-28December 23 20102010-12-23A photograph of a temple abhishekam at an altar framed by vibrant marigold and rose garlands in yellow, red, purple and white. Two golden deity murtis sit side by side on a red and gold draped seat, the left one wearing a red turban-style crown and rudraksha-style gold necklaces, the right one wearing a tall gold crown. In the foreground, a person in a flowing orange robe with long, loose, curly hair pours liquid from a brass vessel over a tall golden kalasha-style vessel placed before the deities. Lit oil lamps stand at the edges of the frame.2010-02-12Close-up photograph of a pair of gilded deity murtis, a male and female form side by side against a red cloth backdrop. Both figures wear tall ornate crowns and heavy layered gold necklaces and armlets; the male figure holds a small ritual object near his chest, and the female figure rests her hand on his arm. Garlands of white flowers are draped over the shoulders and crowns. Warm light falls across the gold surfaces in a temple-like setting with carved stone pillars behind them.2006-10-21October 21 20062006-10-21October 21 20062006-10-21Close photo of two gilded deity murti figures, each with tall crowns and elaborate ornaments, standing under an ornate gold-trimmed arch.
