A street procession in an Indian town moves between multi-storey white buildings, with a crowd lining the road and people on balconies. At the centre, a decorated palanquin with a golden canopy is carried by men in white dhotis and orange shawls, surrounded by many red, blue, pink, green and yellow umbrellas and red flags. Uniformed police officers walk along the procession. On the left, a red flag bears a portrait of a smiling bearded man in an orange turban, and a red banner reads Nitya Kirtan, Nitya Puja evam Havan, Nitya Annadan. Drums and ceremonial attendants in white and saffron accompany the chariot. The procession is a ratha or palanquin procession with devotees and umbrellas.
